Akendi offers in-depth User Experience certification programs that will help to recognize your user experience research & design expertise in your organization. We offer two types of UX certification:
The exam for the certification courses above can be taken on 17 May.
UX Certification can be done as an intensive program and completed in a week or a few courses at a time over as long as two years. UX Certification requires the passing of a final exam. The cost of the exam is included in the certification fee.

Tedde infuses Akendi’s UX Training courses with his strong belief that customer and user experience design must go beyond a singular product interface, service, or content. Drawing on his deep experience in research, usability testing, and experience design, Tedde delivers training that is both practical and supported by a solid foundation in theory and empirical research.
Amanda brings an energetic approach to her courses, striving to keep the end user at heart as she shares her knowledge of UX and Industrial Design with course participants. Drawing from a decade of experience in user-centered design, Amanda helps students apply proven principles in design theory and psychology to create products that not only connect with users, but also simplify their lives.
Principal Experience Architect
Dan is a student of history who brings a unique combination of engineering, computer science, psychology, and anthropology knowledge to each course he teaches. Delivering training on Information Architecture, Interaction Design, Experience Mapping, Service Design, and Usability Testing in an accessible, friendly fashion, Dan makes even the most technical subjects interesting.
Senior Experience Architect
Hamilton is a User Experience and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) advocate with over 8 years of experience in the field. He dreams of a world where technology allows humans to reach maximum potential in meaningful and enjoyable ways. Hamilton holds a B.A.Sc. in Computer Science, a M.Sc. in Engineering focused on HCI, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Queen’s University where he focused on Human Factors and User Experience in the Gamification of exercise and rehabilitation.
Prior to joining Akendi, Hamilton was a User Experience Researcher & Designer for Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, where he used his skills in user-centered design, interaction design, usability testing and multidisciplinary research to research, design and build effective computer systems for therapists and children with motor disabilities. Hamilton has also taught courses in computer science and HCI at the university level for over 6 years and published highly cited articles about his work in top international conferences in HCI.
Passionately working to make design more important to society, Athena uses her knack for listening, understanding, and making sense out of chaos to deliver designs that exceed client expectations. A talented leader and instructor, Athena is keen to share the strategies and approaches she uses to create products that are functional, beautiful, and bring joy to those interacting with them.
We assume little awareness of the user experience & usability field. Our courses are appropriate for anyone working in the creation of digital products and want to learn about the process, tools and techniques to create successful user experiences. The courses are not focussed on how to use specific software applications like Photoshop or Axure.

Training program cost is per person as stated with a minimum 4 participants per course. Akendi reserves the right to cancel a scheduled training session up to 5 business days prior to the training if a minimum class size of 4 participants has not been attained. Akendi is not responsible for any travel or other costs incurred as result of a cancellation.
A full refund is provided if you cancel more than 4 weeks prior to training start date. We provide a 50% refund between 4 and 2 weeks before a course. No refunds when cancelling within 2 weeks of course start date.
If paying by invoice and you have to cancel a course, a credit note will be issued. If after application of the credit note there is a remaining balance, you must pay the outstanding amount.
All Akendi course materials are copyrighted and owned exclusively by Akendi Inc. Each participant of our training courses agrees not to copy, modify or publish training materials and handouts.
Akendi does not allow any audio / visual recording of any kind in our training sessions.
